Cruising is one of my favorite ways to travel! Having everything right at your fingertips with the options to be super active or totally lazy…it’s great! We’re going on a round trip cruise to Alaska. Join me for this 5 day cruise from Vancouver, BC to exploring Ketchikan, Alaska and Victoria, BC and back to Vancouver, BC. We’ll be offering yoga classes every day. Come to as many or as few of the yoga classes as you’d like to. Come to as many or as few Yoga classes as you wish.
Hatha Yoga: Classic yoga postures that move with your breath to help you reduce stress and increase strength and flexibility. These classes are approximately 50% stretching poses and 50% strengthening and toning poses, all combined with proper breathing and grounding techniques. A flexible body is a youthful body!
Bliss Yoga: We’ll have evening one hour yoga classes of Gentle, Yin and Restorative Yoga combined with foot, back and shoulder massages. Sunny will be guiding you through a relaxing Yoga class to help you become very calm and de-stress. Relax and unwind and then tuck yourself in to bed for a fabulous deep sleep. Tea and cookies will be served after the class.
- Day 1: Depart Vancouver, BC at 5:00 pm.
Vancouver, BC – Vancouver is the Canadian jewel of the beautiful Puget Sound. From the cobblestone streets of Gastown to Little Italy and Chinatown, Vancouver will offer you a truly international flavor as well as a delightful combination of the old and the new. We’ll have a late evening one hour Bliss Yoga class of Gentle, Yin and Restorative Yoga combined with foot, back and shoulder massages. Sunny will be guiding you through this relaxing yoga class to help you become very calm and de-stress. Relax and unwind and then tuck yourself in to bed for a fabulous deep sleep. Tea and cookies will be served after the class.
- Day 2: Inside Passage Cruising.
On day 2 you’ll sail beyond the Inside Passage into the more protected Alaska Inside Passage. Home to diverse wildlife such as orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and more—the complex labyrinth of fjords and bays are where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months. You’ll never forget the sight of 40-ton whales hurling themselves into the air, almost entirely escaping the water. If you’re lucky, you could see them swimming together to create a bubble net, trapping and eating fish by the giant mouthful. We will be offering 2 yoga classes today, one Hatha Yoga class in the morning and one Bliss Yoga class in the evening.
- Day 3: Ketchikan, Alaska – arrive 7:00 am and depart 4:00 pm
You’ve never tasted salmon so delicious and fresh. Ketchikan is known as the ‘Salmon Capital of the World’, Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world’s largest collection of totem poles. If you’re up for an adventure, take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rain forest or go on a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you can’t resist. We will be having another Bliss Yoga class later in the evening to unwind after our long day exploring Ketchikan.
- Day 4: At Sea
This day is yours to do as much or as little as you’d like to do. Take a fun Celebrity iLearn class and bring your vacation photos to life. Catch some sun by the pool where butlers keep you refreshed with chilled towels and sorbets. Schedule a soothing stone massage at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub®. Burn off a few calories in the fitness center with floor-to-ceiling views of the sea. Enjoy a food-and-wine-pairing workshop to step up your culinary game. Check your Celebrity Today daily newsletter for a list of what’s going on each day aboard. Experience all of the pools, spas and more onboard your ship. We will be offering 2 yoga classes again today, one Hatha Yoga class in the morning and one Bliss Yoga class in the evening.
- Day 5: Victoria, BC – arrive 9:00 am and depart 6:00 pm
Victoria is the capital of British Columbia is also its largest island. This one-time British colony has retained much of its colonial splendor and charm. Victoria is a seaside town that enjoys a temperate climate, which is great, because you’ll want to explore all the museums, parks and gardens Victoria has to offer. We will be having another Bliss Yoga class later in the evening to unwind after fun day in Victoria.
- Day 6: Arrive at Vancouver, BC at 7:00 am
